Shakti Yoga Shala

Shakti is the Divine Cosmic Energy. Shakti is the energy of the
cosmos that maintains the universe and also makes it disintegrate. It is the name for the dynamic forces of the universe. Shakti is the Divine Feminine and Shiva is the Divine Masculine. Shiva and Shakti are two parts of the same whole. Each person has the potential to be an empowered balance of both Shiva and Shakti.

Shala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning a holy space. A place that is a sanctuary, a refuge, a space to inspire balance, focus, strength, flexibility. A place that is built for the community of the heart.

The Shakti Yoga Shala was founded by Samantha Shakti-Brown and Bradley Brown. We are dedicated to the life-affirming path of Yoga. It is important to us to bring forth an example and provide an education to live a life of sustainability and compassion in honor of the balance of the Divinity within us all.

The Shakti Yoga Shala contributes 10% of all profits to the Divine Shakti Foundation which is dedicated to build a girl's empowerment school/orphanage in Northern India.
